Dash Robotics

While learning about robots and their functions, we have studied the rovers located on the planet Mars. We have studied how they travel around the planet to take pictures and send back to Earth. We are coding our own robots to master commands that we have programmed Dash to carry out. The students are so excited to be working together to code Dash.

Solar System Sun Catchers

PLE Quest had a blast creating their own solar system sun catchers. Each one is so unique and different. Each student chose colored markers of their choice and designed a coffee filter and dipped it in water so that the colors would blend and make a cool planet. They all look so neat together in this class galaxy.

Magic Growing Crystal Trees

Quest students loved the opportunity to partake in growing magic crystal trees. As we are learning more about our home planet, Earth, we are experimenting with materials that help crystals grow on a tree by filling the base with liquid just like rain, sun, and nutrient soil helps our trees on Earth grow. We are enjoying watching our crystal trees grow each day.

Hattiesburg Zoo Field Trip

As a culminating activity for our Zooland simulation, Quest took a trip to the Hattiesburg Zoo to experience the wild side of life. Our students had the best time seeing all of the unique animals and visiting with a real life zoologist.

Saving Zooland

Quest students are serious about saving Zooland. Each student chose an animal of interest to research and share with the class how to save this animal and to make everyone aware of what needs and habitats each animal has. The students loved this experience.
