Morse Code

January 11th is national "Morse Code Day." We celebrated this day by learning about Samuel F.B. Morse. Morse create the telegraph, and along with a few other men, created Morse code. Students learned what this was and how much harder it was to communicate during the 1800's than it is today. Quest students were given a Morse code chart and were able to write their own name and create a message for a friend to decode in class. We all had a fun time.

Pick Me Up - Team Challenge

Our Quest classes are excited to start 2016 off together using team work to build on skills. We participated in an activity where each group member held a string attached to one rubber band. Each member was responsible for helping to move the cups from the three tier pyramid into one stack of cups. They could only move the cups with the rubber band and strings. It took much communication and positive efforts to make this task successful in the end. Good job boys and girls!
